The Planet Uranus
Uranus is the first of the “outer planets,” right next to Saturn, the planet of carnal energy and karmic justice. The sign of Aquarius is right in between. This cosmic arrangement suggests that one must pass the ego tests of Saturn before receiving the spiritual ascension of Uranus. Aquarius’s numeric vibration is 11/2, a master number with two ruling planets.
They say it was discovered in the late 1780’s. Its discovery opened a portal to the American, French, and Industrial Revolution. It unleashed the energies of rebellion against tradition. Uranus is evolutionary in essence, making certain rebellions against certain oppressions necessary. Uranus energy brings about global upheavals to make room for new societal norms.
Uranus takes 84 years to make a complete orbit around the sun. Uranus rotates on its axis horizontally. She literally dances on her back. She retrogrades once a year for 148 days. She affects Aquarius people the most when she does. She challenges everyone’s innermost beliefs, then creates the discomfort that forces true belief to surface.
Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury. It is intuitive where Mercury is intellectual.
Intellect depends on research, and/or external evidence of something, where the intuition knows what it knows without having to know how it does.
In Orisa tradition, Uranus energy resonates, and aligns with the Orisa Oya. She is the essence of sudden changes, transforrmations, and tower moments. Uranus’s sudden inner changes strike like lightning, which belonged to Oya…even before Sango. Uranus is the planet of the higher destiny, and the upheavals that come to all in its way.
People with strong Uranian and Aquarius energies are people ahead of their time. They are time travelers, geniuses whose eccentricities coin them misfits to the too conformed. What can they say?
