You know, African women are historically known for carrying water pots on our heads. Perhaps we were onto something. Symbolically, the Water bearer represents the womb of the mind, the waters are spiritual downloads…waters of wisdom. When you pour it to the earth, you are giving the earth what the heavens gave you…to elevate it. Pour the water, the spiritual wisdom out of your head onto the earth so your cup can be empty, and the heavens can give you more.
This season comes in the second sign of Winter Solstice, and the air is fixed, cold, and crisp. It introverted but driven energy fits well into winter’s hibernation. This fixed air sign works much with the crown chakra, as Aquarian energy deals much with radical thinking, prophecy, and spiritual evolution. Although a fixed air sign, The prefix of the word Aquaruis is “aqua” of course meaning water. The pouring of the water represents libation on Orisa tradition, a way of honoring and invoking ancestors to commune with and guide us. It is a way of connecting heaven to earth.
People with an Aquarius Sun Sign
Aquarius energy is ruled by two planets, Saturn (planet of carnal energy, power, karmic justice) and Uranus (intuition, cosmos, sudden changes). Aquarians live to master the energy of being at a constant crossroads between the ego complex and spiritual guide self.
