Pataki.( Yoruba word meaning “sacred story”) 2018.12.21. The day vibrates on an 8, and I welcome Winter Solstice in Houston sunlight. I am a bit behind on my tarot draws, as I took the time to write a the book, “Kwanzaa 4 the Kosmos.” It was the fastest work I have published to date, taking roughly 9 days to complete 63 pages. Sagittarius season is ended, opening the way for the cardinal Capricorn’s goat to open the way for the new season. The Great Mother Gaia blows Her colder breezes and strips the trees bare. Although the energies of retracting, cultivating, and hibernating are setting in, I feel a great deal of momentum as the year of the woman ends, in a calendar sense. In the 9 remaining days of the calendar year, I scribe this by Sun to prepare all who will receive for the energies of 2019. In order to do that, I had to plagarize myself a bit and reflect on the previous 2…
2017 was a year vibrating on the number 1 (2+0+1+7=10 1+0=1), the number of the Divine Masculine. The year of God the Father brought new beginnings for many, driving us forward in ever evolving destiny. 2017 also brought a rise (pun intended) to more balanced male energies. Many tributes were made to some of our kings through cinema, including the Nelson Mandela, Tupac Shakur, and James Baldwin biopics. In the heavens, 2017 hosted a cosmic trilogy during summer solstice with a Mercury Retrograde (Mercury is the Masculine planet of communication), a solar eclipse(the Sun is Masculine in energy too), and Hurricane Harvey(Harvey is a Celtic male name meaning “warrior”). It was a year of aggression, and many people found themselves actively engaged in planting seeds in the Universe’s quasars to manifest into reality. The year for those dreams to be nurtured and cultivated would come in the year of the Divine Feminine, Goddess the Mother, 2018.
2018, the master year of the 2, (2+0+1+8=11, 1+1=2) brought about many prophetic phenomenons in the quasars that manifested in our living and being. Many interpretations flew ‘round the world about the cosmic meanings of the “year of the woman.” The rise of feminine power fueled both Jezebel and Judah if you ask me. Many imbalanced patriarchal barriers were further broken this year, bringing many blessings to women with a positive mission, as well as for men aligned. However, the power of this year’s masterful feminine energy also became an elixir that many got drunk on…Her energy invoking entitlement, succubus draining, and male railroading…with no shame. The masterful feminine energy was about the return to individual nurture, and 2018 called us to give back to the Great Mother Earth the love she has given us, and to cultivate the seeds planted by 2017’s masculine nature. 2018’s Spring and Summer Solstice saw 7 planets in retrograde at the same time: Mercury, (communication)Mars(drive), Saturn(trickster), Uranus(intuition), Neptune(divine compassion), Pluto(regeneration), and Jupiter(expansion). This brought about a stillness while in motion for people aligned, with more internal work being done than external. It invoked the need to trust in divine timing more than our own, bringing out our feminine receptive over our masculine drive. People not aligned found frustration in still trying to drive forward during a time of retrospection. 2017 brought us a rise in the masculine, 2018 a rise in feminine…2019 with bring the product of the two arisen energies…
2019 is a 3 year (2+0+1+9=12, 1+2=3), sacred to Esu. What does this tell us? The number 3 is the number of the crossroads, meaning many we can expect to be constantly tested on all we have absorbed in the years of God the Father(2017), and Goddess the Mother(2018). 2019 will also be a year of building bridges between our inner masculine and feminine polarities, bringing harmony to our sun and shadow essences. The heavens align on this affirmation. Mars, the masculine planet of driving force, and Venus, the feminine planet of love, are the only two planets that will not retrograde this year. A lunar eclipse is coming this year on July 27th, (7+2+7+2+0+1+9=1) during Leo (there’s my house again) that will only be visible to Africa, Europe, and Asia. However, North and South America will be positioned to see the Supermoon on January, 21, the cusp of Capricorn and Uranus. The very night will vibrate on a 7 (1+2+1+2+0+1+9=16, 1+6=7), the divine number of completion. Is one side of the world complete in a way the other is just beginning? Time will tell…
January, may be the first month, but keep in mind that both January and February were added to the original 10 month calendar. In the early stages of Roman rule, January was added in honor of Janus, the Roman depiction of he who holds the key to all doors, beginnings and endings, and is known to be a trickster…Now where does that energy sound familiar? Esu ring a bell?! That’ right. Interestingly, Capricorn houses January, the sign ruled by the Trickster planet. He carries the Capricorn season over, and merges into the fixed air Aquarius season. Aquarius is ruled by both Saturn and Uranus,combining the earth and air elements as manifestations of our inner changing winds. This sets the tone for the 11 months to follow. With all of that said, I am still a woman…and the Great Mother starts the new year when four seasons complete themselves…that lands New Year’s Day on March 21, but that is for another day’s article, and I am planning a community celebration as we speak. Either way, 2019 brings in the year of the 3… the year of Esu’s crossroad God/ess the Child. Which side of the road will you invest your harvest?
