Literature is most certainly a gift I came to earth with. As I child, my kryptonite were libraries. This is a piece of my literary journey, in conjunction with 12 women who dared to share the fire we came through to evolve the coal of our souls into diamonds. This book’s lead author, Chimere Bacon Destin, held interviews with each of the co- authors that she hand- selected to embark on this literary journey with her. There are many jewels in this conversation about my chapter in this volume. The interesting thing is, I am the only author who is of another faith beyond Christianity….or any other religion. In fact, my story speaks of my conversion…..
My chapter in this volume features a poem titled “Within,” an ode to the goddess Oya and her mysteries of inner change. I recorded it as well as my entire chapter in audiobook form.
